Chicago stands out as the only city to have hosted a LIV Golf tournament during each of the league’s initial four seasons. With only two regular-season tournaments remaining in the 2025 LIV Golf season, the stakes are high with the Individual Championship race, Lock Zone, Open Zone, and Drop Zone statuses, along with seedings for the Team Championship all in play.

Joaquin Niemann has established a strong lead in the Individual Championship following his fifth tournament victory of the season at LIV Golf UK by JCB, positioning him to potentially secure the title in Chicago.

Team Standings

Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII is also dominating the team standings, holding a significant lead for the top seed after achieving their fourth win of the season in England. Since becoming the league’s first expansion team, Legion XIII has clinched eight wins out of their first 25 tournaments and reached the podium five additional times.

Last year at Bolingbrook, Rahm triumphed in a showdown against Niemann to prevail in the season-long Individual Championship. Meanwhile, RangeGoats GC Captain Bubba Watson (who finished second in LIV Golf UK) and Legion XIII’s Caleb Surratt (who placed third) are entering the tournament with strong performances from their careers.

Surratt, aged 21, is the youngest player in LIV Golf, and in England, four other players aged 23 or younger also earned points, including Josele Ballester (T7), Tom McKibbin (T11), David Puig (T18), and Yubin Jang (T21).

Individual Championship Landscape

Niemann’s five victories this season have solidified his position at the top of the Individual Championship standings, with his current points at 206.80, as two regular-season tournaments remain. The only players still mathematically able to surpass him are Rahm (169.16 points) and Crushers GC Captain Bryson DeChambeau (136.24 points).

According to the latest probability percentages from LIV Golf’s data analysts, Niemann holds an impressive 84.12% chance to claim the Individual Championship, while Rahm’s chances stand at 15.70% angola fiba ranking. DeChambeau is a longshot with only a 0 angelica paris.18% chance.

With 40 points awarded for an individual tournament win, Rahm, the defending LIV Golf Individual Champion, has a chance to take the top position in Chicago if he secures his first win of the season and Niemann finishes in solo 18th place or lower. Meanwhile, DeChambeau must win in Chicago and hope Niemann finishes in solo 11th place or worse to keep his hopes alive.

If Niemann wins in Chicago, he will clinch the Individual Championship before the regular-season finale next week in Indianapolis. This would be a stark contrast to last year’s regular-season finale at Bolingbrook, where Rahm triumphed over Niemann to win the season-long title.

There are various scenarios where Niemann can secure the title at Bolingbrook; he merely needs to achieve 2. atlanta vs bucks37 more points than Rahm and must prevent DeChambeau from winning. For instance, if Rahm finishes solo 11th this week and Niemann claims solo 9th, Niemann clinches the title.

Niemann has averaged just 1. celtics injury13 points in the six tournaments he hasn’t won, and this variability has allowed the more consistent Rahm to remain competitive despite having only two podium finishes and no wins this season, averaging 15 palawan rates 2021.37 points per winless tournament start.
